I analyzed 20 UK Retail websites and detected 2604 total quality issues. The average quality score is 85.2% (B), with 130.2 issues per site on average.
The biggest issue categories across the category: Other (4597), Content (495), A11y (370). The most recurring specific problems I found: "missing skip navigation link to main content" (found on 12 sites); "multiple failed resource loads - dns resolution failures" (found on 10 sites); "missing cache headers on all static assets" (found on 9 sites).
Top performers: Evans Cycles, GAME, John Lewis (fewest issues). Sites needing the most work: Marks & Spencer, eBay UK, Boohoo (most issues). The gap between best and worst is significant — the cleanest sites have 88 issues while the roughest have 219, suggesting very different levels of QA investment.
